You’ve passed the barre, and your jazz hands are so powerful that they've grown to three times their normal size. Shake them showily as you master new moves with today’s Groupon: $25 for a four-week Bollywood dance class series at Bollywood Shake. Redeem your Groupon at any of the Indian dance studio’s four locations.
Bollywood dance is the blend of Indian dance styles that's performed to catchy tunes in Bollywood films. America caught the Bollywood bug with the success of Slumpup Millionaire, which took home the Oscar for Best Original Score and Best Original Song and featured the cast performing a Bollywood dance number. Your Groupon gets you four consecutive weeks of classes, so you'll build on your Bollywood skills each week until you can swivel and shake as harmoniously as Harmonious "Kid Philadelphia" Bosch. A new four-week session starts at the beginning of each month. If you miss one, you can get permission to attend a make-up session at a different location. Choose from the following schedules:
The North Austin location also offers children’s classes for ages 8 to 12 and 4 to 7.
Bollywood Shake is a fairly new shakery. A passion for dance and teaching prompted classically trained dancer and choreographer Ruchika Dias to start the company in 2009. Classes are fun and informal. Slip into your workout attire and let Bollywood Shake's friendly, professional instructors teach you to bust a move to the Bollywood beat. Retire the hussle and funky chicken forever by demonstrating your new Bollywood moves at weddings, family functions, and the important company-wide event or gathering 11 and a half months from now. Groupon Says
Slumdog Millionaire/American Millionaire
Slumdog Millionaire was a hit with people across all nations, ages, and creeds. The only group to dislike the film: actual millionaires. To point out the disaccuracies in Slumdog Millionaire about how millionaires actually live, secretive, old defense contractor Aaron Illing produced the film American Millionaire, about a charming, young defense contractor. Here are some key differences between Slumdog Millionaire and American Millionaire:
Slumdog Millionaire: Adorable street urchins witness the strength of street knowledge
American Millionaire: Society pretends adorable street urchins do not exist
Slumdog Millionaire: By correctly answering game show questions, a young man rises out of his station
American Millionaire: By wisely purchasing a TV station, a young man uses his news organization to push for unnecessary wars
Slumdog Millionaire: Love conquers all
American Millionaire: Television programs in which famous people dance distract the public from the military-industrial complex
