Infused with the luxurious decadence of ancient Rome, cream-colored marble lines the floors of many of Darque Tan's outposts. Guests glide across to check in at a granite-topped front desk before being whisked away by a staff member certified by Smart Tan¬ ¬to one of the 20 or more private rooms that line the column-flanked hallways. Patrons slip from the warm embrace of five levels of UV beds from UWE, and VersaSpa and Mystic Tan booths imbue pelts with a pleasant golden hue without the need for sunlight, UV light, or awkward moments spent waiting for King Midas to return a high-five. Beneath shelves brimming with lotions and other products, a full-time cleaning staff keeps the enclave pristine with a 50-point inspection system. Kids stay distracted with the books and television in the children’s play areas available in most of Darque Tan's salons.
