Gabrielle's Salon & Day Spa

Lylanda Edwards left a career in the IT industry in order to run a salon and spa that includes a boutique within its warm, earth-toned walls. Outside the spa, a mural of a sun-soaked garden welcomes clients for facials, eye treatments, and deluxe nail services, and the nearby boutique area teems with carefully selected designer apparel and accessories. The private-party suite's four treatment rooms and a lobby designed for between-treatment mingling have all been soundproofed, helping to quiet excited chitchat, laughter, and antique auctions happening in the rest of the salon.

Edwards also gives back to the community by participating in breast cancer and autism walks and donating her time and skills to the women at Ronald McDonald House. Edwards notes that her favorite part of her job is "our ability to give back and being able to make people smile again, sometimes even during their darkest moments.
