Dozens of classic lunchboxes line the painted-black brick walls of Lunchbox, where, amid decor that includes chain-link fences and graffiti-style tags, chefs prepare a large menu of sandwiches, wings, and salads in an open kitchen. Daily delivered ingredients are whirled together in heart-pounding starters that include panko-crusted fish, deep-fried mac 'n' cheese balls, and a tower forged from tater tots, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Sandwiches don superhero and villain inspired names such as the Mojo—a sloppy joe composed of ground sirloin, peppers, and spices—or the Punisher–breaded pork cutlets with prosciutto, mozzarella, and cherry peppers. The shop also whips up frosty ice-cream shakes, which join other meal-ending sweets including deep-fried candy bars, apple turnovers, and warm banana-bread pudding. Though the menu already contains plenty of dauntingly delicious eats, culinary adventurers can also test their mettle during challenges that pit them against 151-ounce milk shakes, ghost-chili wings, or eight pounds of sloppy joe.
