River City Brakes, Carmichael

This place screams scam. I bought a Groupon, made an appointment and everything. As soon as I show up I’m told that I need over $1,000 worth of work, with the Groupon. I offered to go buy the parts myself. I’m told it’ll be $80 for each wheel. I go buy the parts, come back and pay them $320 for their services. I come back a few hours later only to find out they only did my rear brakes, didn’t touch the front even though I paid $160 for them to work on them. Seems to me they use the Groupon to lure people in and then bombard with all this additional work that is needed. They let me pay for work on 4 wheels then only did half of it. Overall I will never go back here. Proceed with caution. I’m not one to even leave comments but I feel like people should be warned.

Didn't torque?My brakes properly and nearly killed me. Was completely dismissive, and downright nasty, when I called to complain. Parts are missing and the dealership has recommended that I have everything replaced. Business won't even reimburse me for the extra I had to pay to have it towed. Complete review on Google.

Mike greeted us and checked all four wheels showing us the status of each. New brakes were installed and we are truly pleased with the service. This is an established business and we will continue to use River City Brakes for our auto needs.
