Suzanne Moroney and Dekita McNamara—the registered massage therapists at Coastal Massage—know their fair share about the ups and downs of athletic performance. Moroney started training in gymnastics before the tender age of 2 thanks in no small part to her mother, the coach of a gymnastics club. Over the course of her career, Moroney has broken bones, strained ligaments, and dislodged knock-knock jokes from her funny bone. Ultimately, she found massage therapy to be the fastest way to get back on the mat. Moroney decided to devote her life to helping other athletes experience a similarly speedy recovery and volunteers at sporting events to encourage injury-free performances.
McNamara—who like Moroney graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy—also specializes in sports massageand holds a sports-specialty certificate. The duo performs services ranging from relaxation massage to myofascial release and highly focused trigger-point therapy.
