“I have never eaten a better burger in Denver," said David Schlichter of The Good Life Denver about CityGrille’s signature sandwich. The half-pound sirloin burger, which rests nestled between ciabatta and a layer of crisp bacon, swiss, and caesar dressing, isn't the only handheld reaping praise. Numerous members of the press have commended the eatery for its fare, including 5280, which bestowed the restaurant with a Best of Denver award for the steak burger, calling it “the simple comfort-food throwback we so often crave.”
Along with awe-inspiring burgers, a slew of decadent items graces the menu. The slow-roasted pulled-pork sandwich, for instance, trades in plain Jane barbecue sauce for a blueberry-habanero variety, and four types of cheese meld with elbow macaroni in the baked mac 'n' cheese plate. A dozen micro and imported brews and 50 types of tequila can easily match any sandwich. After a rowdy night, patrons can head back to the grill to munch on The Hangover burger.
