Crave Dessert Bar and Lounge
Excited to start their own restaurant venture, longtime friends Darrell Naughton and Allen Milham moved from Chicago to Milham’s native Denver to open an organic pizza shop. Within a year, the pizza joint had expanded to three locations, and available retail space next to one location posed a quandary for Milham and Naughton—should they open a dessert bar or a pizza-themed law firm?
The answer was clear, and Crave Dessert Bar & Lounge was born, serving artisanal desserts, locally roasted coffee, and unique cocktails. Port wines, champagne, and caffeinated beverages complement chef-made dessert creations that blend candied bacon with brown-sugar-maple carrots and poached pears with white-russian ice cream. Savory dishes await diners as well, such as blini with beef brisket and grilled cheese made with halloumi cheese, tomato confit, and fried basil.
In the mornings, cooks grill up traditional breakfast dishes and baristas serve coffee from Denver’s own Elevation Coffee Traders, whose beans are prepared through an open-air roasting process.
