The American Heart Association suggests at least 60 minutes of daily exercise for kids, starting at age 2. Unfortunately, obesity has crept into lives of many children in the United States. NC Fit4Kids strives to reverse this streak of poor health among kids through fun, age-appropriate forms of fitness. Its Fit Coaches travel to schools and other kid-oriented facilities to teach fitness classes for youngsters that keep them engaged. Classes introduce kids to everything from obstacle courses and kickboxing to Zumba, yoga, and Pilates.
