LA Arts Collective
The hallways of LA Arts Collective regularly reverberate with the buzz of aspiring dancers, actors, musicians, and visual artists. They’re buzzing because of the opportunities at hand, which take the form of classes curated by artistic director Marissa Moses. Assisted by the knowledge gained during her pursuit of degrees in drama and dance from UC–Irvine, Marissa has assembled a highly experienced and trained staff of artists from all creative disciplines. Acting coach Jim Senti has a master’s degree in acting from Harvard University; Bria Biggs—a former Laker Girl—teaches hip-hop dance classes; and Samantha Planchart brings 16 years of professional dance career to her Creative Kidz classes, which introduce youngsters to basic movements and rudimentary songs. All of this artistic expertise and expression is on display in LA Arts Collective’s three studios, which house artist-friendly features including sprung floors and sentient mirrors that offer critiques in the voice of Bob Fosse.
