In the first revival since its 1988 Broadway run, Carrie adapts Stephen King's famous horror novel into a chilling night of musical theater. The dark tale revolves around an ostracized teen who is bullied both at home and at school and eventually develops psychokinetic powers, which leads to tragedy at the prom. Award-winning director Stafford Arima puts actors through their paces with a production conceived in collaboration with the show’s original creators. Molly Ranson makes her professional musical debut as Carrie after successful turns with August: Osage County and Jerusalem, and Tony-Award winning Marin Mazzie plays Carrie's unhinged mother, Margaret. The riveting performance takes place in the intimate Lucille Lortel Theatre, whose 299-seat space allows audiences to catch each emotional nuance and crowd-surfing stagehand.
