Personal trainer Jameela Toups starts off each morning by repeating a phrase that means a lot to her: carpe diem. Though it's a small action, it has a big impact on her outlook for the rest of the day. That simple trick is one of many she uses to motivate her students during private and group fitness classes, which include Pilates and core strengthening. The trained dancer of more than 10 years holds a bachelor's degree in health and wellness and uses her knowledge to build impactful relationships with her students. With that game plan, she's able to customize her physical-training plans and holistic health sessions to fit her pupils' needs and goals.
