Paint Drink and B Merry
Just as one doesn’t have to be a carpenter to assemble furniture purchased from a big-box store, one doesn’t have to be an artist to follow a Paint Drink and Be Merry teacher’s instructions. But where a particleboard couch leaves little to personalization, students at these classes are free to add their own flourishes and interpretations to the evening’s piece. Vincent van Gogh, Georgia O’Keefe, and Monet often lend their works as inspiration for the classes, allowing students to try their hands at brushing up flowers, ocean views, and wheat fields. As classes are held at local bars and restaurants, fledgling painters can socialize over drinks or mount their finished piece on the dartboard.
