Tilopa Buddhist Ctr
Classes are generally held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and involve practical instruction on Buddhist meditation, ideas, and practice. A teacher will take you through guided meditations and explain ways to put the positive benefits of meditation into practice during daily life. After class there is an opportunity to ask questions, and if you attend classes on a Thursday, the main centre sells soup and sandwiches before class. Meditation can lead to improved relationships with others, shifts in perception, more congenial conversations with yourself, and constructive behaviour when dealing with stress. Classes are taught as three to five week courses, with recommended, though not required, participation every week. Drop-ins are welcome, as all individual classes cover self-contained topics.
