The Odessa Jackalopes have provided live hockey, family-friendly prices, and full-contact High Tea since 1997 at the modern-styled Ector County Coliseum. From the Jackalopes' home base, also known as the “Jack Shack,” spectators get the opportunity to see professional hockey players on their way up from the AA CHL to the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers or the NHL’s New York Islanders. Mascot Slap Jack is also present to entertain the younger fans and infuriate taxonomic biologists with his rabbity antler-antics.

Specializing in making creative and distinctive portraits of babies from conception through their first fortnight out of the womb, Louder Photography captures the beauty of women throwing off that special glow and young infants before they get the chance to grow up so fast. Owner Dewayne Louder's cavernous 4,500-square-foot studio is overflowing with whimsy, including sports themes, faux flowers, and the ever-popular baby-as-a-stockbroker background, to best represent your tyke's personality. Utilizing an arsenal of props and costumes and years of experience, Louder Photography works with mothers and babies to deliver picture-perfect proofs (a $100 value) you can't take your eyes off of or there's a 100% refund guaranteed. Maternity shoots run for one hour and the baby session can last up to three hours. At the end of the shoot, models and their minders will walk away with two 8"x10" prints (a $50 value) that can be the focal point on your mantle and the mug shot on baby's first wanted poster.
Fit Family's Zumba classes challenge students to a high-energy dance-based workout set to the up-tempo beats of Latin-inspired music. Instructors lead the class through a blend of salsa, merengue, and other dance moves, helping students remain unbored and melt away calories like an open flame melts away the chocolate exterior of a Charleston Chew. Like the FDA's recommended teeth-brushing schedule, classes are offered four times a week, Monday–Thursday evenings. After developing a thick sweat, guests can relax in the steam room, saunas, hot tubs, and hammocks made from strips of silk.

Though they have coached celebrities and worked with Broadway producers, the instructors at Elegance Ballroom appreciate that some people just want to cut loose on weekends. In beginner classes, they walk students through a curriculum of ballroom and Latin styles, laying the groundwork for steps such as the tango, foxtrot, rumba, and waltz. Private and group lessons prepare students for competition-level strutting or a casual night out. Regardless of the goal, instructors put guests at ease with encouraging attitudes, a selection of complimentary refreshments, and the solemn promise that they will never release wild wolverines into the studio to punish a missed step.
Apart from classes, staffers host regular practice parties where their protégés can socialize. They also rent out the Elegance Ballroom Event Center for special occasions, prepping food, drinks, and the dance floor to accommodate up to 500 guests.
