Thai food attempts to balance the five fundamental flavors: hot, sour, sweet, salty, and victory. Score a win for your mouth with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of authentic Thai cuisine and drinks at Thai Village, located in the heart of Ukrainian Village.

Designated a Bib Gourmand restaurant by Michelin for its combination of culinary quality and value, Thai Village operates under the direction of Thai native Chution Ruanphae, who uses fresh ingredients and savvy know-how to offer guests a tasty menu of authentic dishes. Start out with the spicy tom yum soup ($8.95 for regular, $5 for small), or opt for a cuddly coupling of veggie- and egg-stuffed spring rolls ($3.95), whose plate date is chaperoned by sweet plum sauce. Made-to-order main dishes—including noodle, rice, and entree options—can be served in spicy Thai tradition or come mild to keep timid tongue buds from hiding behind overprotective molars. Smile-inducing dishes range from classic pad Thai ($7.50) and red or green curry ($7.95) to broccoli beef ($8.75), and most meat-centric meals can sport tofu substitutions to satiate veggivores and soy-bean magnates.

Guests can pore over their tooth-friendly treasures within Thai Village's friendly, relaxed, and richly colored interior or, during the warmer months, grab a seat on the outdoor patio. Although Thai Village doesn't serve alcohol, it is BYOB, so feel free to bring in a classy bottle of wine or elegant jug of bathtub gin.

Reviews

Thai Village is a Michelin Bib Gourmand selection for outstanding value. More than 140 Yelpers give it an average of three stars and 75% of Urbanspooners like it:

  • I asked for extra spice in my panang curry and it delivered a ferocious zest! The curry itself was top notch, I mean I could bathe and brush my teeth with this stuff for the rest of the year. – Max P., Yelp
  • …their food is spot on. I get the Kang Ped Phed, my husband gets Cashew Chicken and our mouths start watering the moment we order. – Morgan C., Yelp
