$30 for a Guided Kayak Eco Tour for Two (Up to $60 Value)

Guided Kayak Eco Tours encompass a leisurely, two-hour paddle through Indian River Lagoon. A Florida Master Naturalist navigates kayakers through the flat, mangrove-framed waters while divulging the inner secrets of the biologically important ecosystem known as "the cradle of the ocean." The journey explores the forestation surrounding Brown's Bay, with guides making pit stops to point out the finer points of the plant and wildlife. Participants paddling the estuary regularly enjoy cameo appearances by manatees, turtles, and leaping mullet fish. Customers are supplied with life jackets and safety kits.

Marine Discovery Center

Local creek waters and river tributaries empty into an estuary along more than 150 miles of Florida's east coast. There, the freshwaters mix with salty Atlantic currents to form the Indian River Lagoon. The lagoon supports the highest levels of biodiversity found in any North American estuary. Preserving this delicate and species-rich ecosystem is the goal of Marine Discovery Center, a nonprofit corporation headquartered on the banks of the river. The organization was sparked by a small band of locals, including the mayor of New Smyrna Beach, James Vandergrifft, who were concerned about the environmental health of the coastline. The MDC connects citizens to nature through kids’ summer camps, educational outreach, and frog-kissing booths. On board a 40-passenger pontoon boat, tour and charter groups safely visit the lagoon's toad fish, stingrays, and roaming turtles while not harming the singular habitats.

The Groupon Guide to: Logic Puzzles

Challenging the brain keeps it from turning into a soft, spreadable gel that looks delicious but will give you canker sores. Keep your brain firm and supple by exercising it with these logic puzzles:

• A man takes 10 flights of stairs to work every day but only has to walk down 9 flights of stairs to get home. How is this possible? (Answer: He takes 10 flights of stairs to work … in his backpack—they're small! He just walks up and down 9 flights of stairs to get to his office and back.)

• You're planning a dinner party for six people. Horace won't sit next to Patricia because of her political views, but he has to sit next to Alice because they're practically married. Nina and Catherine have to sit across from each other because they both love to laugh. Phillip will bring his own chair, which can't be near anyone because he has a leg condition. What is your seating plan? (Answer: Why do you always invite Phillip?)

• A father wants his three sons to inherit a glass figurine, a candle, and two pewter oranges. The eldest son has already been promised the candle. How should the father split up the rest of his estate so that it is fair? (Answer: The youngest son gets the figurine and the pewter oranges. Middle children inherit nothing in the culture where this takes place.)
