Fitness gurus lead hour-long classes in five part-specific styles blending 30 minutes cardio treadmill work & 30 minutes strength training

What do Melissa Joan Hart, Jenny McCarthy, and Natasha Henstridge have in common? They all owe their rock-hard abs and toned physiques to workouts with Pulse Fitness Studio owner Mark Harari. Mark, who challenges his celebrity clients with a blend of cardio and strength-training, shares his simple secret for success: "You've gotta have variation in your workout." He uses this approach in both personal training sessions and during classes. The 60-minute tread & tone workout pairs students with a treadmill for 30 minutes and the floor for another 30 minutes, where they target different areas including legs, hips, and abs on different days. Cycling classes are set to a soundtrack of heart-pounding tunes and visual cues that impart an experiential journey that strengthens the legs and core. Kickboxing sessions work the whole body thanks to jabs, punches, and roundhouse kicks taught by 4th Degree Black Belts Sue and Roger Marshall.
