i also was wondering if i were to purchase this groupon as a gift and then an additional $ gift certificate from the store itself—would the recipient be able to use the gift certificate AND groupon at the same time??? (many of the bags are >$50)

My friend is buying one of these fabulous groupons for herself. If I were to buy her an additional groupon as a gift, could she use her own groupon and my gift groupon together toward a >$100 purse?
I just want to make sure I understand, i can only use one of these coupons towards one bag. I can’t use four to get a 200 bag at 100, correct? thanks!

I was thinking of having a purse party for my bridesmaids, can I get each of them one of the groupons to be used at the party ?
I got this groupon the last time they did it, and I was incredibly disappointed. All of the purses lack structure, and the fabric colors are bland, not as bright and colorful as on the website. Not only that, but if you want something other than a cosmetic bag, you will be paying more. If I saw the purse I made at a store, I wouldn’t pay $25 for it, or for any other purses that they had. I would reccomend checking out the store before you purchase your groupon, if you like unstructured fabric purses, you would love this groupon, but it is not for everyone.

To answer some of the questions:
@Nichole – Yes, you can give each of your bridesmaids a Groupon to use at an in-store party – it’s a great idea! Just remember, only one groupon can be used per transaction and they can’t be combined with other discounts or promotions.
@kc – Yes, that is fine -you can buy two and use one for your own bag and the other towards the purchase of a gift bag. You’d just need to ring them on two separate transactions, but you could certainly do this!
@Christina – No, unfortunately, this Groupon cannot be used online. In-Store only for this deal. We do hope to have the capabilities to accept online codes soon, though! Keep your eye out for this in the future!
@Leah – Yes, these Groupons can be used in our Boston or Kansas City stores as well. Please note that the last day it could be used in KC is March 27th.
@Morgan & Jennifer – While the groupons cannot be used towards the purchase of a new gift certificate, there is nothing wrong with using a gift certificate you may already have to pay for any remaining balance on your purchase!

I bought 2 groupons for myself. I would like to have an in-store party. Would I be able to apply my groupon to 2 separate purses? Or would I just have to use the groupon on another day or online?
I bought the previous Groupon for Lill Studio and I love the bag I designed. I think that the bags are beautiful and well constructed. I was impressed by the variety of fabrics. While the bags are not cheap, I think they are well worth the money. There are so many styles of bags to choose from, and in the end you are paying for a unique bag that you designed yourself.

I even wrote the essay for my Live Off Groupon application about the great experience I had at Lill Studio. I said that I was hoping for another Lill Studio Groupon, and thank you to Groupon for featuring them again!

@Josephine – You can absolutely use two groupons for 2 purses at an in-store party. You’d just need to purchase them in 2 separate transactions as we can only accept one per transaction.

Katherine, there is a difference between handmade and homemade, and the purses look like a homemade arts and crafts product, and so does your video.

I’m another LILL fan. I bought several Groupons last time for relatives. The 4 of us went to the store together (ages 14, 22, 29, 45). It was fun, the staff was very helpful, and we ALL thought our bags were beautiful, distinctive, and well-made. You’re not just buying a great bag but a unique experience, especially if you go with friends.

If the groupon is good until July 5, 2010, then why do KC people have to use it by March 27th?
p.s. – @india, when you host a handbag party at LILL, the guest list is up to you! We typically book semi-private events for groups starting at 6ppl and can accomodate hundreds for private events after store hours. I would say a typical party size ranges from 8-20 people. We have a second floor party space that can accomodate private and semi-private parties during or after store hours as well.
Can someone clarify the “Limit 1 per person. May buy multiple as gifts. Limit 1 per transaction” fine print? If I purchased 2 Groupons for myself, can I use both myself, (but on two separate transactions)? Or does “limit 1 per person” mean I can only buy/use one Groupon for myself?
@Alyssa – unfortunately after 5 great years on the Plaza in Kansas City, our lease is up and we have made the decision to close this retail location. March 27th is the last day our Kansas City store will be open. We will change our focus in Kansas City and offer more home and office handbag parties after the 27th thru our LILL on Location handbag party program. (Please note that this Groupon may only be used in our retail locations, not at LILL on Location handbag parties. )

Yes, that wording IS somewhat confusing – sorry about that! Yes, you can buy two (or more!) Groupons for yourself – you would just need to use them 1 at a time on separate transactions.
Can this be used on buying fabrics, too? Or just handbags and accessories?

Just want to clarify… I’d like to get purses for each of my 6 bridesmaids. If I buy 6 groupons, can I order all 6 purses in one trip to the store and pay separately for each and use 6 groupons? Thanks!

Can I use one Groupon to buy numerous things – i.e. the Jane detachable key ring/wristlet which is only $18 according to the website?
I think I have a problem! Lill – please tell me you can help me with this…I bought 12 groupons because I’m planning to use them as gifts for my bridesmaids. I am in Boston, and missed out on the previous Boston groupon for $30 for $60 credit, so I jumped on the opportunity to get this one since someone said it could be used at the Boston store. However, my problem is that I assumed, like the case was for the last Boston groupon, that this one could be used to buy a gift card that never expired as was posted on the Boston groupon discussion. I was planning to do this since my wedding is not for a year and a half! I just realized after dropping $300 that this groupon stipulates that this cannot be used for a gift certificate! Lill, would it be possible to waive this for me since I’ve purchased so many? I am hoping to have a bridal shower party at your store in Boston using these for each of my bridesmaids gift purses. I know that I should’ve read more carefully but I had to make a split second decision because I’m in a different time zone right now, and didn’t learn about this until right before it ended, and I didn’t want to miss out again :( Please let me know if anything can be done for this problem, otherwise I have to try and sell off 12 Lill groupons…
