Copy points state that average large cup is $5, so what if $16 is not used during one visit? Is the remaining balance forfeited and not valid during another trip?

Rebecca B.

The description states “You won’t receive any credit or cash back” – so it’s use it or lose it. It seems like you have to bring a few people to really make use of this one…

Laurie D.

Can we get this clarified. please? Does the entire $16 really have to be used in a single visit? If so, that’s completely ridiculous and makes me not want to visit this place at all – with our without a discount. Groupons should foster good will and bring new business, not turn potential repeat business away, as this limitation does. Prime example of a Groupon FAIL.

OMG I was just thinking about 16 Handles today & here they are on Groupon! Living Social had a 16 Handles deal that was $5 for $10 last year & that was very cool. I didn’t mind spending a bit more on top of it, because I didn’t have to worry that I wasn’t buying enough to get the full value. A $6 for $12 or a $7 for $14 would be easier to spend – even though you’d probably still need 2 people. But if you have kids this is a great deal. So I don’t think this deal is a fail per se, it’s just not for everyone.

BTW – if you like a lot of fruit with your yogurt, it’s very easy to spend $8 on a cup.

Question, can you get cheesecake bites w/this Groupon? Thanks :)

Cyrece L.

16 Handles is great! Just looking at the photos makes me want to run there. Bring the kiddies, the girlfriends, and you’ll use up the $16 pretty fast, it’s so worth it. Isn’t it good thru July? Even better, perfect for those hot NY summer days.

Groupon Management: “You won’t receive any credit or cash back”. Can you please clarify that we can use the $16 over multiple visits?

Christine N.

From the Groupon General FAQ:

If I don’t use the full value of the Groupon in one visit, can I use the remainder later? No, but we try to design Groupons to be about the value of a trip to the business.

I too really do not see why the gift card approach to a place like this is not employed as well. I am single and do not have a brood of children of which to accomodate, so for me a place like this is a loss unless I guarantee treating someone who wants it. I love frozen yogurt, but I don’t even see a hard packed to take out for the balance of my trip, so this HAS to be a pass for me, or a donation for local business. Doesn’t make sense. You guys have operated with the gift card approach and I love it! Perhaps a good look see at some of your client base might just allow for us single girls.
Thanks Rosalie

Hi Vic,

There is no cash back or credit for this Groupon.

How many of these coupons can one person buy? Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the text.

Michael L.

Hi Lauren,

You can buy multiples but there is a limit of 1 per visit.

Thanks, Michael@ Groupoon

I would have to agree w Laurie D. that as stated this is a fail. If you want to get $8 worth of the product, you can just go spend $8. This is supposed to be a deal. Even for a couple it wouldn’t be easy to eat $16 worth of frozen yogurt in a single visit. It would be worth it if they allowed you to use it over multiple visits, and it would be better for their business too—you try more flavors, you come again & again, you tell & bring friends. As written, most single ppl or ppl without kids will probably pass.

Ramaa P.

yup – that’s right.

Am i being a complete jerk by saying, “IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT, DON’T BUY IT.” ??
Plain and simple. I think groupon has done some amazing things. Depending on the individual groupon buyer, you win some, you lose some. You can’t win the lottery EVERY day.
Apparently more than 1,000 people already believe in their ability to purchase $16 worth of fro-yo……………..bravo. I’ll be there tomorrow!

Ashley S.

If I had known the restrictions, I wouldn’t have bought it. I love that place but I find their prices pretty reasonable, and have never spent more than $5 on a decent sized cup with many toppings. It’s my first time on Groupon too. I will be back, but I’ll look at the fine print before purchasing. I’ll organize a group fro yo trip I guess!

Spencer Z.

It’s not that hard to spend 8 dollars. Last time I went I spent 7 dollars on my cup. What I’m wondering is if I went with a friend and used one coupon, would we be able to pay for two medium cups or would it have to be one large one? It just says 1 groupon per visit.

Clare W.

My plan (like when I visit rice to riches) is to get a few cups to go and eat them over the next few days.
But it is pretty clear that you must use it in one visit.
