$50 for an Eye Exam and $200 Toward Prescription Glasses or Sunglasses ($268 Value)

After determining clients' prescriptions with a comprehensive eye exam (a $68 value), the optical technician shows off a selection of basic and designer eyewear, the latter of which includes fashionable specs from Prada, Coach, Nautica, and others ($79–$400). Single-vision lenses start at $103, and bifocals start at $159.

1st Eye Care

For more than 30 years, 1st Eye Care's trained team of optical technicians has sharpened eyes’ style and focus. State-of-the-art diagnostic equipment assists the technicians during eye exams, which check each eye for signs of glaucoma and clear fingerprints from smudged lenses.

Appointments don’t stop there—the staff prides itself on outfitting each pair of eyes with its complimentary frame, and they will take as long as necessary to walk each customer through the boutique’s eclectic collection. Personal style and current trends converge in frames from designers such as Prada, Coach, and Nautica and prescription sunglasses styled by Ray-Ban and Ed Hardy. After customers select a set of frames or invisible contact lenses, lab technicians housed in a 7,000-square-foot optical laboratory carefully customize them to match the unique contours of the wearer’s face.

The Groupon Guide to: New Roller Coasters

It's still early, but it looks like 2013 will go down in history as the year of the roller coaster. Here are some roller coasters that are debuting soon:

  • Kung Fu Panda: the Ride
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Roller Coaster
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (the Aerosmith roller coaster but all songs used for the ride were rerecorded by Aerosmith while they were wearing panda costumes)
  • Kung Fu Panda: the Panda Rides among Us (on This Roller Coaster)
  • Kung Fu Panda 3: the Ride Based on an Early Draft of an Unproduced Screenplay
  • Panda Drop (not based on Kung Fu Panda—riders are just dropped into a cage with a bunch of pandas)
  • Lung Flu Amanda: America's Most Contagious Roller Coaster

Which Oscar-winning films were based on roller-coaster rides? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
