If you've never been to Manny's, you're not yet an official Chicagoan - Time Out Chicago calls it Chicago’s most quintessential restaurant. One of Obama's personal favorites, Manny's is a 67-year old, down-to-earth, family-run, cafeteria-style Jewish deli. Their delicious delicatessen foods are a well-known Chicago favorite. Perhaps most notable is their corned beef sandwich, which is renowned as one of the best in town, probably because it's stuffed with more juicy meat than its two slices of rye can actually handle, according to Metromix. One patron claims they saw Obama & Emmanuel eating while planning some last-minute environmental policy changes over an EPA map, when Emmanuel bit into his juicy corn beef, squirting juice all over the map.
