In its 56th annual show, this year entitled Blooming Antiques, the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association invites dealers from across 14 states to display their vintage wares. Fifty-seven sellers set up shop with eye-catching pieces of American decorative art, including fine paintings, folk sculptures, and hardwood furniture dating as far back as the 18th century. Among the slated vendors are Donna Finegan Antiques, who curates a collection of 1800s-era clothing and housewares, and R.L. Myers Americana and Folk Art, who stocks their booth with wrought-iron pieces and watercolors. Missouri Plain Folk presents their trove of painted game boards, including old-timey renditions of Parcheesi and Chinese Checkers, as well as an early prototype of Sorry! entitled My Humblest Apologies.
