Commonly Asked Questions

We live 1 hour from 98119, so we have to pay them an hourly rate to drive here and back to their location? What is the hourly rate? What is the rate beyond the 4 hours? Since that is only enough time to load the truck at one location.

Jeri C. asked 5 months, 29 days, 22 hours, and 18 minutes ago - 1 answer

Alex W.

Hi Jeri, you are correct about being responsible for the travel time to and from your location from our location in Ballard. This time would be counted towards either your 2 or 4 hour voucher. Any additional time would be billed at the standard rate of $80 per hour. I hope this is helpful. Alex

Live in Tacoma WA. Will you travel that far and how long is that drive..distance between new apartments will only be 15 minutes at most. So I believe a 4 hour pkg. would cover move. Mostly furniture, but some boxes ( what is extra cost for boxes?) Will two mover's be able to handle a couch, queen bed, hutch down from 3rd floor apt. to another 3rd floor apt.? Also moving in January, is that workable?

Corinnne asked 5 months, 27 days, 11 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

Alex W.

We do service the Tacoma area. An accurate estimate of the drive time would be to use google maps from the 98119 zip code to your current address. Also, there is no extra charge to move boxes as we charge by the hour. We do however provide boxes for $2 per box on pack and move jobs. 2 movers will be able to handle all of the items you described. Moving in January is not a problem.

i see that each additional hour is $80. Does that mean, for example, if services were 4 hours and 5 minutes, I would be charged the entire $80 or is the time pro-rated?

Jimmy asked 5 months, 27 days, 17 hours, and 49 minutes ago - 1 answer

Alex W.

We charge to the nearest 15 minute mark. In your example total billable time would be 4 hours and 15 minutes.

A couple questions: I live in the Redmond area. if you are coming from Seattle, will I have to pay for your toll across 520? When does your travel time start and what happens if you are stuck in bumper to bumper traffic? Will I have to pay for your crew stuck in traffic? Do you have a Washington State household goods license and if so, what is it?

Kirk K. asked 5 months, 29 days, 14 hours, and 54 minutes ago - 1 answer

Alex W.

Hi Kirk, Thank you for your inquiry. To answer your question yes you are responsible for the toll fee across the 520. We carry Good to Go! passes to keep the cost low. Travel time does start when we leave our location. Fortunately traffic in the morning to Redmond area is fairly light so I would suggest booking an early appointment to keep drive time to and from your location to minimum. Another suggestion would be a weekend apointment. Also, my UTC permit number is THG064320. I hope this helpful. Thanks, Alex
