Commonly Asked Questions

Can the 50 hours of time in the 172 be used for recreational purposes for a licensed pilot?

alyssa r. asked 8 months, 8 days, 7 hours, and 5 minutes ago - 1 answer

Yes and no. The 172's are intended for student training so it is difficult to allow them to go out for flights longer than 2-3 hours at a time. That said it can be done but if you are looking to do trips it would be difficult. The 182 is intended for pilots to go on longer flights. If you have no 182 time the check out can be up to 10-hours. Once you are checked out you can use it however you like. We have an on-line schedule. If you bought a 10-hour block, once that was used up we have a club program for the 182. It's $525 per month for 6 months and then $0,00 per hour. Just put fuel in it after your flight. If you do the math, the club for the 182 is just a tiny bit more expensive than the 50 hours and you don't have to pay it in 1 big chunck. We just bill the monthly fee each month. Feel free to give me a call at 301-248-1480 or email me at contact@lrn2fly.com if you have more questions.

To whom it may concern, Does this deal you have, $2,999 for 50 hours of flight time in a Cessna 172 (a $4,450 value), provide what is needed to get your private pilots license? Thanks, Matthew

Not fully. Fuel and instruction are not included. The other costs, which are not payable to us are many. Here is a link to give you all of what's involved in getting your license. http://www.lrn2fly.com/Groupon_deal.html
