Lessons take place in a group setting that allows riders to learn the basics alongside other riders of similar ages and abilities. The lessons begin with a half-hour introduction to grooming, tacking, and safety. Pony classes then include a 30-minute lead-line lesson with parent participation, and horse classes include a one-hour group riding session. Classes are held all week long. All participants must bring a bike helmet.
A&T Equestrian Centre
With a climate-controlled indoor riding arena as well as an outdoor riding ring and paddocks, A&T Equestrian Centre provides grounds for year-round instruction in the art of equine piloting. During lessons, students climb into saddles as instructors expound upon the essentials of English riding such as walking, jumping, and cantering. Lessons focus on fun and the development of new skills while also emphasizing the importance of proper riding gear and safety practices. Instruction is available for adults as well as children as young as 3 with parent participation, and A&T further caters to youngsters with a variety of party packages specially designed for kids and teens.
