$15 for $30 Toward Holiday Trees and Wreaths

Trees range from $30 to $150 and wreaths are $30 apiece. The tree selection is limited to just noble firs until December 10, but then douglas firs and grand firs will also become available. The lot is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily until December 23.

A1 Christmas Trees, Lights & Installations

With festive specimens starting at 2 feet and stretching skyward to more than 10 feet, the Christmas tree lot at A1 Christmas Trees, Lights & Installations holds an array of evergreen offerings destined to liven up home interiors. Holiday hunters can peruse and pick from the rows of Douglas Firs, admired for their dense, bushy shape; Grand Firs, dark green and soft to the touch; and ever-popular Noble Firs, soft blue-green and grown only in the Pacific Northwest. When not showing visitors around their tree farm, the professional merry-makers also adorn homes with holiday lighting installations, removing the hassle and danger of climbing up on the roof and lassoing fluorescent reindeer.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?

  • They were very helpful and went out of their way to help us find the right tree and get the tree loaded on the car.
