I'm just looking at this as a fun experience for my husband as a christmas gift. Do you think it would be something 'just for fun' or really more for people who are seriously looking at pursuing this training? Thanks!

Aaron K.

Hey Bryn! Because this is an introductory lesson, this deal is great for anyone seeking a fun helicopter-flying experience!

Thanks for your question, Melissa. As long as the student is under 300 pounds, they would be able to participate.

Do you have to buy lessons after this introductory one?

Jennifer B. asked 6 months, 1 day, 10 hours, and 31 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hi Jennifer! If you're interested in getting a license, you will need to take additional lessons. However, if you just want an introductory lesson, this is all you'll need!

My son is 16 years old. Will he be able to actively fly the helicopter but not receive his license until he is 17? Is this my understanding?

cynthia l. asked 6 months, 2 days, 3 hours, and 57 minutes ago - 1 answer

Tyler S.

Hi Cynthia! Yes, that's right! He can use this Groupon deal, but he would not be able to use it towards receiving a license.

Your question is not quite clear to me but I will try to answer. You will get 30 minutes of classroom instruction as well as 30 minutes in an airplane flight simulator and finally, 45 minutes in an actual helicopter in flight with a flight instructor. Gus.

What are the age limits on this? My fourteen year old son would be interested in this.

Shannon H. asked 6 months, 2 days, 9 hours, and 55 minutes ago - 1 answer

Ace P.

Ages 5-90 are ok for the introductory lesson but a person must be 17 to get their license.

Ace P. answered 6 months, 2 days, 8 hours, and 29 minutes ago

Does the person taking the lesson actually get to fly the helicoptor or are they just a passenger able to push some buttons. If they get to fly how long do they get to actually fly the helicopter?

martin f. asked 6 months, 2 days, 10 hours, and 7 minutes ago - 1 answer

Ace P.

As a beginner, there are certain critical phases of flight that a person is not safe to perform on their own but there are many non critical phases of flight during which the purchaser will hold the flight controls and control the helicopter with the instructor right there to take over if needed. Most people want to fly as much as possible which is ok with us and then others want to only observe and never touch the flight controls. We will accommodate either.

Ace P. answered 6 months, 2 days, 8 hours, and 30 minutes ago
