Is this groupon for your whole face? Can you have your hands done too?

Brenda D.

Re. brown spots or /and wrinkles. How many areas of the face can be treated with this Groupon?

how long do the results of this initial treatment last?

what kind of results can we typically expect after one treatment? after researching, it looks like at about 5 sessions – 3 weeks apart -are required for full results.

Suzana M.

on on the fence with this one. Please answer the questions above so I can make my decision.

Michelle D.

Can you still get this treatment if you have tattooed makeup, eyebrows, eyeliner, lips, etc?

Grace P.

We can’t photofacial over permanent makeup or tattoos. We do have many customers get photofacials who have permanent makeup and we just avoid the tattoos with the facial tip. We have not had any problems with people getting photofacials who have permanent make up done.

Grace P.

This groupon is for the full face. If you want to add your hands when you come in, it only costs $50 for both hands.

Grace P.

One photofacial will clear up brown spots, acne and help with fine lines. Most people love the results from their initial photofacial. And many people want to do more because they usually have more brown spots, acne or fine lines that they want to eliminate. We recommend waiting at least one week in between treatments but you could do them every 2 weeks or once a month, depending on the results you are looking to achieve.

Grace P.

The whole face will be treated with this groupon special. The treatment takes about 20 minutes.

Grace P.

The results of the treatment last forever. When I have had treatments for acne, the spot clears up and doesn’t come back. I’ve had brown spots that were eliminated on my first photofacial and have never come back. Sun exposure has caused some of my brown spots to come back and I have had to do more photofacial. For the fine lines, the photofacial acts as an anti-aging treatment, so the aging process will add more fine lines, so doing regular sessions will prevent signs of aging.

Does this work well for hyper-pigmentation? Is there scabbing or peeling after the treatment?

i am half hispanic, with freckles from the hispanic side of my family. is it safe or wise for me to do a photofacial with hispanic skin, due to melanin and pigmentation?

Grace P.

Acomoclitic Studio is offering a 3 Month Skin Fitness Challenge right now. When you come in with your Groupon, you could use the $65 towards one of our 3 month packages. Three sessions is always better than one! :)
$49/mo Chemical Exfoliant + Microdermabrasion
$79/mo Chemical Exfoliant + Photofacial
$99/mo Chemical Exfoliant + Microdermabrasion
$199/mo Chemical Exfoliant + Microdermabrasion + Photofacial + LAM Probe (machine that gets rid of any minor skin irregularities)
$299/mo Mediderm Laser Resurfacing + LAM Probe (Doing 3 treatments of these will take 5-10 years off your face.)

thank you for your answers! one more question – do you do around and specifically under the eyes? i have dark circles under my eyes and i’m curious to know if this could have any effect on them! thanks

Will this treatment help Rosacea patients? Do you offer any treatments for Rosacea?

Kristi H.

Hello, what if I am using an Acne treatment? I am using Atralin right now. Is the laser still ok?

Elizabeth P.

I have a few tiny broken capillaries on my face. Can the photofacial get rid of these?

Stefan p.

no photofacial works only on brown spots not red and not good for any darker skin you can get discoloration.

Stefan p.

what laser you using?

Brigitte J.

Does the laser only treat active acne or can relatively clear areas be treated so that they will be less likely to break out in the future?

Grace P.

Our photofacial works great for hyperpigmentation (any brown spots or freckles).

Grace P.

We can’t do the photofacial over dark circles under the eyes. That skin is too sensitive. However, we can get the crows feet near the corners of the eyes.

Grace P.

Our photofacial can be used on hispanic skin types as well as any other skin types. There are a variety of tips that we use for different skin types. There are filtered tips that allow us to use the photofacial on dark skin without causing any burns.

Grace P.

Astralin is similiar to Retin-A. These products can make the skin more sensitive to laser light. We recommend not using the product for a few days before your photofacial treatment.

Grace P.

Our photofacial does help with rosacea. Once we see your skin, we may recommend doing our LAM probe as well which directly treats broken capillaries.

Grace P.

We use the Aesthera PPx for our photofacials which uses photopneumatics (suction with light) that make the treatment less painful and more effective. The little tip will suck the skin up towards the light before it fires. This allows the light to penetrate deeper than other IPL machines without the pain.

Grace P.

The laser works best on active acne. It’s hard to say if it helps prevent future break outs. I would say that once the active acne is cleared up, it seems that our clients don’t have acne that bad again. But we do have clients that come in to get ‘zapped’ when they get a break out. We charge $5 per zap and the acne spot clears up in 48-72 hours afterwards.

Grace P.

There is not scabbing after the photofacial.

Grace P.

There is no peeling after a photofacial.

Grace P.

After the photofacial, your skin will feel like a mild sunburn. You may be pink or red for about an hour afterwards. Our clients love this facial because they can do it in the middle of their day and their skin doesn’t look too beat up to go right back to work or run errands.

Does the photofacial take care of acne scars?

Jackie F.

When you write about your specials, do you mean that we can apply the $150 value of the Groupon to the specials?

Jessica O.

I have Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms. I’m wondering if this might be helpful in reducing the redness and scarring that years of breakouts have left there. If it might, would it be possible to use this groupon for that area instead? And if I can’t, how much would it be to add that service on? Thanks so much!

Grace P.

The photofacial doesn’t take care of acne scars. We have a laser resurfacing machine that will treat scarring. If you purchase the groupon, you can use the $150 credit towards a laser resurfacing treatment and pay the difference of $200. The laser resurfacing treatment is $350. It is a much more aggressive treatment than the photofacial.

Grace P.

Jessica—We can definitely exchange the photofacial groupon to use on your upper arms instead. I know exactly what you are talking about and have treated it quite often with our photofacial. When you come in for your appointment, we may suggest doing some other treatments depending on how your arms look.

Jessica O.

Thanks so much! I just purchased!

Grace P.

As far as our other specials, you can upgrade your photofacial groupon to include our other services. For example, for $34 more you can add a Microdermabrasion. It does not count for the full $150 because the Facial Fitness Packages are discounted.
