Adams Motorsports Park

Tires squeal and engines roar as autos tear around the 14 sloping curves and wicked hairpins of Adams Motorsports Park’s 3/4-mile paved race circuit. Since opening in 1959, the track has acquired an impressive history, with its veterans entering the likes of the Indy 500 and American Le Mans. Although its vintage layout remains, it has grown and undergone renovations and now boasts a massive 700-foot straightaway, where vehicles prove they can hit top speeds without hitching up to a cheetah. The park hosts wheeled contraptions of all types, such as karts with Honda 9-horsepower, 4-stroke engines that reach up to 50 mph, as well mini bikes and motorcycles. SuperMoto racers leave the pavement to tackle the dirt section’s jumps and treacherous Little Monza turn, which has taunted notable riders such as Jeff Ward.

Adams Motorsports Park also hosts events that bring DJ beats to crowds as they chow down and cheer racers. Time Attack Tuesdays places drivers against the clock, and on Thursdays, aspiring and professional Formula Drift drivers slide around the track. Additionally, the park’s academy teaches novices hoping to follow in the tracks of karters such as Patrick Long and Phil Giebler, both of whom once burned rubber at Adams.

The Groupon Guide to: Being a Millionaire

Television has taught us that there is practically no limit to the luxury that possessing exactly one million dollars ($1,000,000) can bring. Once you have this exact amount of money, here are the things that you can and must buy:

  • A boat of any size—all boat sizes, like fast-food soft drinks, cost the same amount of money
  • A swimming pool full of gold coins, plus a regular swimming pool you can actually use and enjoy
  • One of those money quilts that rap sensations The Fresh Five wore as capes to the Grammy Awards this year
  • A valuable painting, like a painting of a diamond
  • A butler
  • A butlerer (butler for your butler)
  • A car so fast that driving it even briefly is guaranteed to ruin your life and the life of anyone who sees you
  • A star named after yourself—you’re worth it, baby

What are some things that every millionaire can and must purchase? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
