Boasting a 38-year record of perfect safety in and on the water, Adventure Diving guides snorkelers into the depths of the Crystal River and King's Bay to witness the native west-indian manatees frolicking in their natural habitat. Boats depart from the docks in groups of no more than six passengers, ensuring noncrowded viewings and personal meet-and-greets with seagull senators. During the heart of the three-hour tour, guests don the included clean, certified snorkeling gear and hop into the water for a close-up view of the manatees. An endangered species characterized by their wizened faces and teardrop shape, manatees spend most of their time swimming peacefully, munching on a vegetarian diet, and photobombing pictures of mermaids.
