About Rhythmology
Alfred Pena founded Rhythmology to bring an in-depth study of rhythm and dance to the public. Along with a team of experienced instructors, Alfred enlightens minds and bodies in various Latin dance styles including salsa, bachata, merengue, west coast swing, flamenco, international latin, and hustle.
Rhythmology spreads the words and beats of dance via students and semipro dance teams and stays in touch with the Latin community with Latin parties throughout the area. Alfred still maintains a career as a professional competitive salsa dancer, and was featured in Prince Royce’s music video of “Stand by Me”. Additionally, he is the current U.S. bachata champion, the U.S. salsa runner-up champion, and a finalist in scores of world salsa championships.
