Groupon: Collective Buying Power

Can I buy this as a gift certificate without an expiration date (or at least good until May 2011) so I can give this as a birthday gift in April?

I live in Tacoma, WA. Since this groupon is good in Alternative Outfitters online store, can I still buy it?

@Laura S. – The Groupon expires Nov 4, 2010. You would not be able to give it as a birthday gift in April.

@Taylor J. – Yes, it’s available for use in the online store or at the Pasadena store so you will be able to buy it even though you live in Tacoma. It won’t cover shipping costs though.

The gift certificate is as good as cash and can be used on anything in the store (or online). It can also be applied to tax and shipping. And yes, it does expire on Nov. 4, 2010.

When I sent out the referral link to my friends (after buying the groupon) it just sent them to the LA deal of the day (which was a pedicure deal) instead of the alternative outfitters deal.

Hi Jessica. I am not sure how to attach your referral to it. :-( If I figure it out, I will let you know, but I looked and can’t figure it out…yet. That may be a question for a Groupon rep. I will see if I can find out.

@Jessica – At the very top of this page there’s a picture of a dollar bill and it says “Refer Friends, Get $10”. Click on it and it will take you to your personal referral link.

I bought this groupon yesterday and it says it is still processing… is that normal?

That doesn’t sound normal to me. We have already had many customers use the groupon. I just checked and we actually have your name on our list, but the code is not valid. It’s just a bunch of zeros. You should contact Groupon right away.

Hi. Tried using this online yesterday and input the groupon code in both with the dashes and without the dashes .. input it a few different spots at checkout but none of them worked…help?

The one without the dashes is the one you should use. The one that starts with 2 letters. You should be entering it in the section that asks for a “Gift Certificate” code during checkout.
