Winter's cold has two upsides: blanketing hills in fluffy snow and thinning the population of curious children by sticking their tongues to steel poles. Discover a wintery activity the whole family can partake in with today's Groupon to Amesbury Sports Park.

Choose from Three Options

  • $24 for three hours of snow tubing for two (a $48 value)
  • $45 for three hours of snow tubing for four (a $96 value)
  • $65 for three hours of snow tubing for six (a $144 value)

At Amesbury Sports Park, windswept passengers sail tubes down powdery pathways of packed snow dotting hillsides of varying steepness. The inclines boast double the number of lanes as last year, shortening wait times and decreasing the likelihood of traffic jams caused by flocks of roaming yodelers. Convenient conveyer belt lift tubes and tubees back to the top of the hill for repeat rides, and come night, twinkling lights erupt from the snowscape to guide frost-riders safely from top to bottom.

While not included in the price of this Groupon, the Corner Kick Pub comforts guests with a full menu of noshables and off-duty chefs offering complimentary bear hugs. The spacious pub overlooks all of the icy action through huge windows so guests can reminisce on their recent gravity-fueled excursion while warming up with some hot chocolate. The tubing hill is open Thursday–Sunday and during school holidays.

Amesbury Sports Park

At Amesbury Sports Park, windswept passengers sail tubes down the snow-less summer lanes or, during winter, the powdery pathways of packed snow that dot hillsides of varying steepness. A conveyor belt returns them to the top of the hill in 90 seconds, where they can repeat the ride or hop inside of one of Amesbury Sports Park's plastic spheres, to take what they call a zorb ride. Their outdoor event venue can accommodate up to 30,000 people, and has previously hosted events such as the Warrior Dash, the Spartan Race, and their annual Brewfest. An onsite restaurant refuels recreationers with tasty American fare, and also hosts regular wine dinners that often sell out in advance. The park also has a function hall available for private parties, and a full-service catering business with cuisine prepared by executive chef Kevin Jacques.

The Groupon Guide to: New Plays

Anyone who thinks live theater is a dying art hasn't experienced the magic of an actor creating an explosion on stage using only sounds from his mouth or changing into a different character using only a switch of the hat. Take a look at some of the fascinating contemporary plays coming to a theater near you:

The Sanders Family Chronicles: When the family dog dies, the Sanders family's 14 adult children must return to the small Southern town where they grew up. Getting these 14 very different people to agree on one dog's burial plot won't be easy, and you can bet secrets are going to be revealed.

Oh! To Move! or The Weather in Cincinnati Has Never Been So Clear: Don't ever say an old lady can't dance. Ever since her husband passed, Eva Marie can't stop boppin' to the beat. This 67-year-old has a new lease on life, and she's swingin' her stuff at every pub in town when she meets a stranger who loves dancing just as much as she does. This feel-good hit has critics saying "Go, Eva Marie, go!"

The Last Soldier of Queens: When a major corporation comes in and wants to turn all of Queens into a Dormart, a regular working-class man named Reginald Guy stands his ground. As Dormart razes the town to prepare for construction, Reg Guy watches his hometown transform into a postapocalyptic wasteland. It all comes to a head in a climatic showdown between Reg and his nemesis, The Bulldozer Monster.

When will you see the new play "The Last Soldier of Queens"?
