Groupon: Collective Buying Power

I am a family of four. Can I buy more than one or is this only for one person?? I think my 7 and 5 yr old daughters would love this…does anyone know the restrictions of how many you can purchase?

Amesbury Sports Park has pulled the promotion and now has claimed after I have paid $60.00 and am on my way to the park that the deal is only good for tomorrow. Sounds like a bait and switch. Might be time to contact the Better Business Bureau. Sounds like a shady business they are running. I am out $60.00- great

Thanks for the FYI – it figures that I just purchased 4 passes and just printed them out before I saw this posting. I’d advise anyone who just purchased them to print out of the restrictions page which indicates it is valid until Sept. 2011. I just did that and will bring that with me as proof that they must honor it and that I purchased it before the offer was changed. When you have things like that in writing, they have to honor it. Hopefully I won’t have any issues when we do go.

If you are familiar with groupons…you can usually use them the day after purchase. So you can most likely use it tomorrow…

Not sure what you mean that they “pulled the promotion.” Not very accurate.

Hi my name is Kevin Jacques, I am the General Manager here at the Amesbury Sports Park and I would like to clarify how this particular group on is working. Typically group on ads are only good to purchase for one day on the group on web site. However, the Sports Park wanted to have these coupons available to purchase for two days. This is where I think some people have been a bit confused. Once you purchase the coupon from this web site, it is valid until September 2010. The next thing is that you can purchase as many of these coupons as you wish to purchase. Please be aware that you must have one coupon per person. You cannot have one coupon for as many people as there are in your group. So to recap, the sale of these coupons are going through Sunday July 4th 2010, and are valid until September 2010. You must have one coupon per person. Sorry for the confussion and we hope to see you all here this summer!!

Did snow tubing here and it was great! The place is small, but loads of fun.

What is the minimum age/height for OGO?

We ended up going and Kevin the manager did indeed honor the $10.00 promotion which is good for tomorrow as well as stated in the aforementioned thread. We had a great time and would most likely go back. There were no crowds , thus no wait. We had 7 children with us ages 5-14 and everyone except the 5 year old did the OGO ball and the tubing. The OGO had two different choices for your riding pleasure. I would suggest the “water ball” as it did not cause any stomach upset in our party. I do not know about any minimum height requirements. The 6 and 7 year olds got on without a problem.

I just purchased 10 groupon coupons for gifts. We wanted to use them in August 2010. Will they still be honored?

Kevin, the GM from Amesbury said the groupon expires this september, but the actual groupon says September 2011? Could someone clarify if it expires 09/10 or 09/11?

If it expires in 09/11 when does the summer season start and end?

For any newbies, Groupons are almost always valid from the day AFTER purchase (and with weekend Groupons, sometimes from the Monday after purchase). There’s no “bait and switch.” That’s not the point of Groupons.

It’s surprising that anyone who bought this Groupon on Saturday would have expected to be able to use it that same day since in order to access and print your Groupon yesterday, you first had to check a box that said something like:

“I understand this Groupon isn’t good until tomorrow. I just want to print it out now and I promise not to try to use it today.”

Anyway, sounds like Amesbury Sports Park is run by a very accommodating and pro-customer guy. I can’t wait to go tubing!
