Hi Malia, if the treatments are not spaced 6-8 weeks apart, they will still work, but the results could be less optimal. Spacing them too close to each other may actually have more negative impact, because there may not be enough hair follicles in growth phase to get targeted by the laser. Going beyond 8 weeks is not ideal either, but probably its negative impact on the results will be smaller and you should still see the results. Thanks!

Hi Chris, at Amoderm we use Candela GentleYAG lasers and people with dark hair and light skin like you are usually the perfect candidates. LightSheer is also a very good laser made by Lumenis, but we don't use it at Amoderm as based on our experience, Candela could do better on darker and thicker hair. Again both types are FDA-approved and effective. Thanks!

Hi Michelle, it depends on how you define upper thighs. If you want treatment for full upper legs, then that is not included in this deal, but if you are referring to the upper regions, then that could be covered under a large area voucher. I recommend that you get the voucher and come for the free consultation during which we can verify the areas to be treated and if for any reason you were not completely happy with the package, you can get full refund. Hi Chris, shoulders will be covered by a groupon voucher for a medium area, and lower back will be covered by a voucher for large area. You can only buy 1 voucher from website here, but you can get a second voucher directly from us on your consultation session. I suggest that you get a voucher from groupon here and come to our clinic for a consult and we will give you the second voucher. For the remaining area in between, we do offer 60-70% off on our laser packages for groupon clients, so we should be able to offer you that at significant discount. Hi Sarah, this is a standard statement that is included in many deals and it just means that each voucher can only be used toward getting the services listed for that voucher. For example, a voucher for laser treatment on small areas bought here can only be used for small areas as described here... Q: The expiration date for the deal is May 15, 2013. Isn't that too early to get all the treatments done? A: The expiration date only applies to the first appointment, so all you need to do is to make sure that you have your first session scheduled and done by May 15, 2013. The remaining sessions can (and as a matter of fact, some will) go beyond this date. We normally space treatment sessions 6-8 weeks apart from each other considering the normal growth cycle of hair follicles and for the best results. Hence we ask our patients to complete all 6 treatment sessions within 18 months of the first session. This is to ensure best results and to help the clients stay on the 6-8 week intervals between the treatment sessions.

Q: Is laser hair removal painful? A: Pain is a subjective complaint: Some find it painless and some may find it uncomfortable. It depends on the area as well; for example, treatment of bikini area is usually more painful. However you have the option of buying Lidocaine (numbing) cream at the location during your complementary consultation. For the convenience of our clients, we provide the Lidocaine cream for laser hair removal treatments which has been compounded by licensed pharmacists with significant discount compared with purchasing it outside. The cream should be applied 20 to 30 minutes prior to having the treatment to make the area numb and make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
