Questions and Answers

Is the followup consult in 2 months included in the price of the groupon?

Yes the follow up visit at 2 months is included in the price of the Groupon. If additional treatments are needed they may be purchased at that 2 month appointment for an additional $100 for one foot or $110 for both feet.

I have a fungus on my big toe. The nail does not grow all the way out, only half way. At one point, I was told the entire nail would have to be removed in order for it to regrow. The nail did come off completely on its' on, however it still did not grow out completly to look as it did prior to the fungus. Will the toenail need to be removed medically or will this treatment help it to grow back to look natural? If so, how many treatments will be needed? Currently I wear an artificial nail inthe summer only. Thank you. Adrienne F. P.S. Is this the only time this deal will be offered on Groupon or is there a payment plan?

If you have a confirmed fungus to the big toe then laser treatment will help. If the fungus is a severe case and has been there for several years it may take more than one treatment. If additional treatments are needed they may be purchased at that 2 month appointment for an additional $100 for one foot or $110 for both feet. If your nail is not growing back due to a prior trauma (nail was stubbed or came off from an injury) then there is likely damage to the nail root. If that is the case, laser treatment will not work and your nail unfortunately is likely permanently damaged. Removing the nail is not needed for laser treatment of toenail fungus. At this time, this is the only Groupon we are offering. There is no payment plan but we do accept credit card payment which you may then pay off at your convenience.

I have a 6 year old son who has toenail fungus on both feet, though one is worse than the other. We have been treating medically, but only one foot is responding. Do you treat childrens' toenails as well? If so, is the cost the same? Thank you, Sarah

Sarah H. asked 9 months, 25 days, 17 hours, and 1 minute ago - 1 answer

Mathew J.

Yes, we do treat children for toenail fungus. Although rare, some children have developed toenail fungus where topical medication is not effective. Laser treatment is the only other option since the oral medication typically used is not appropriate for children. The cost would be the same as detailed in the Groupon special.

Is any of the treatments covered bu Ins.? How much for the additional treatments if more than one is needed? What if only three toes on one foot need treatment and one tow on the other foot. Do you need to pay for two feet (ten toes)?

Anne L. asked 9 months, 26 days, 11 hours, and 30 minutes ago - 1 answer

Laser treatment for toenail fungus is not covered by insurance. After your initial treatment a follow up appointment will be done at 2 months. If additional treatments are needed they may be purchased at that 2 month appointment for an additional $100 for one foot or $110 for both feet. Laser treatment is 80% effective in clearing nail fungus but on occasion additional treatments may be needed for severe cases. If three toes are affected on one foot and only one toe on the other foot, both feet will need to be treated. Cross contamination often occurs to adjacent toenails and may not appear til later so laser treatment is performed on each foot and not on individual toenails.
