Choose Between Two Options

  • $35 for a 60-minute relaxation massage, a 75-minute deep-cleansing facial, or a waterless mani-pedi (up to a $75 value)
  • $65 for a waterless mani-pedi with paraffin and a choice of a 60-minute relaxation massage or a 75-minute deep-cleansing facial (up to a $150 value)

Relaxation massages boost circulation and mobility with blended massage techniques tailored to specific needs. The deep-cleansing facial combines a round of extractions and customized mask designed to treat skin prone to breakouts and oiliness. Customers must call to schedule an appointment.

Arianna's Retreat will hold a holiday open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15. Light refreshments will be served, and clients can enjoy their choice of a free 10-minute massage with options such as arms and hands, lower back, the neck and shoulders, or lower legs and feet.

Arianna's Retreat

Within the Italian-inspired ambiance of Arianna's Retreat, the staff strive to create a true escape from quotidian cares and stressors. They pamper guests with spa treatments such as custom aromatherapy facials, holistic reiki energy sessions with reflexology and craniosacral therapy, and relaxing mani-pedis that soften skin with warm lotion instead of water.

The day spa offers several packages for individuals, couples, bridal parties, or dusty Civil War reenactors that can be transformed into a weekend getaway at The General Sutter Inn. Near a candle-lit fireplace in the dual massage suite, couples are treated to a 75-minute massage and can sip wine or sparkling grape juice and nosh on cheese and crackers, grapes, strawberries, and assorted chocolates in the relaxation room.

The Groupon Guide to: DVD Commentary Reveals

DVD commentaries can be fonts of behind-the-scenes trivia about all your favorite flicks. What are some secrets we learned from watching the special features?

  • Only half the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were real dinosaurs.
  • Robert De Niro is a joy to work with, really gets to know everyone on set.
  • The reason there are so many Batman movies is because the mask lets producers cast interchangeable nonunion stuntmen that are cheap and easy to knock around.
  • Marty Scorsese is a joy to work with, takes time to get to know people.
  • The special effects in Toy Story were done with computers.
  • Claymation skeletons are a joy to work with, spend a lot of time sword fighting folks during breaks.
  • Star Wars is based on a true trilogy.

What behind-the-scenes movie secrets did we learn from director’s commentaries?
