The Fraxel treatment we our offering with this Groupon is for a Fraxel ReStore or a Fraxel Clear and Brilliant which are both non ablative treatments. A nonablative version (in which the skin's surface is kept intact), like the Fraxel Re:store, involves about one to three days of downtime where your skin will just appear to look as though you have a sun burn. Depending on how deep the lines are you may need 4 to 6 treatments. To smooth more than just a few individual wrinkles, that are very deep, I would suggest a resurfacing laser. Is there a recovery period after getting the treatment? What will the skin look like immediately after? Is there redness, peeling etc.?

Using the Fraxel Clear and Brilliant laser, you will look and feel exactly as a sunburn would for about 6 to 10 hours post treatment. Once the redness passes, you can resume wearing make up. You will have a few days where your skin to the touch feels a bit like "sandpaper" it is not visible to the eye only to touch. You may experience some mild peeling at that time but it is rare.

I have a bunch of questions: -Can I go to either location? - Will the doctor be performing the fraxel treatment himself or will it be done by a tech/nurse? -Is this using the Fraxel Restore laser? I have been getting that treatment by a different doctor for acne scarring, so is will Dr. Tehrani also use it for acne scarring? Thanks!!

You can choose either location. The treatment will be performed by either a medical esthetician, or a registered nurse, depending upon availability. Yes, Aristocratic Plastic Surgery does use the Fraxel Restore laser. Hope that helps!

Does the Great neck office have weekend hours this deal can be used during? If not, does the Great Neck office offer evening hours for this deal?

The Great Neck office is open one Saturday per month. They do have evening hours on Mondays and Thursdays until 7pm. The Manhattan office is open every other Saturday. Hope that helps!
