Choose Between Two Options

  • $22 for entry for one to the Salute a Soldier 5K (a $40 value)
  • $40 for entry for two to the Salute a Soldier 5K (an $80 value)

Runners line up at the third annual Salute a Soldier 5K, readying themselves for the chip-timed race that raises funds for Arizona Heroes to Hometowns, an organization for injured military veterans. At 8:20 a.m., runners embark on a route that winds them through the verdant Freestone District Park. Raffle drawings and prizes awarded by age category will follow the 5K.

Arizona Heroes to Hometowns

When a soldier is injured so severely that they need to return home, Arizona Heroes to Hometowns steps in with the emotional, physical, and financial support necessary for them to re-acclimate to civilian life. Members of the organization help wounded military personnel in a variety of ways, such as assisting them with bill payments, driving them to doctor’s appointments, arranging job interviews, and gathering much-needed community support.
