Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races and fun runs are measured in kilometers and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

During the 5K Armageddon Ambush mud run, held in several cities throughout the U.S., participants scramble over more than 15 obstacles, such as 12-foot-high walls, and battle elements, such as wind and fire, as they test their endurance and strength. Intermittently, race organizers and spectators will hurl ecofriendly colored powder at runners in fun and unexpected color ambushes. Throughout the day, participants gather for a party, which pulsates with beats from DJs and live bands and features beer and food from local vendors. In addition to cash prizes for top finishers, giveaways will be awarded throughout the day. Participants must be 18 or older and are grouped in five divisions according to age, and each participant that completes the race receives a medal.

Armageddon Ambush, The Extreme Mud Run

In an effort to banish the long waiting lines and spread-out obstacles of other mud runs, the organizers of Armageddon Ambush, The Extreme Mud Run have designed a fun and unique competition that is extreme and unpredictable with more than 15 professionally constructed obstacles built by licensed contractors, including climbing walls and tire pits. To keep things unpredictably colorful, they also set up powdered color ambushes throughout the course. An after-party with beer, food, and live music offers participants an opportunity to dance off the mixture of mud and paint, a much more fun alternative to showering and a much safer one than rolling around on a cop’s freshly washed squad car. However, washing off is also available.

The Groupon Guide to: Loudly Agreeing

Most parties, sports-radio calls, and conversations with cab drivers quickly devolve into two or more people loudly agreeing with each other. Put an interesting spin on your affirmations with one or more of these agreement-indicating catch phrases:

  • You know it!
  • It’s like I’ve been saying!
  • Couldn’t have said it better myself!
  • Someone call the Right Police because you are correct about the thing you just said.
  • [In a restaurant-host voice] Person making a good point, party of one!
  • I’m nodding so vigorously I might pass out!
  • Great minds think alike—and great friends hug to prove it!

How can you let someone know you agree with them? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
