Choose Between Two Options

  • $19 for 4 90-minute developmental volleyball classes (a $52.24 value)
  • $89 for 20 90-minute developmental volleyball classes (a $255.99 value)

Students sort into one of three classes hosted at five different locations and based on age: grades K–3 in Volley Tots, kids aged 9–10 in Mini Volleyball, and kids aged 11–18 in Club Volleyball. Volley Tots emphasizes motor development through such skills as court movement, hand-eye coordination, and footwork, and Mini Volleyball encourages teamwork using a lower net, a smaller court, and a lighter ball than standard volleyball. The highest level, Club Volleyball, helps adolescent athletes to build their self-esteem through improved physical fitness, responsibility, and self-motivation—all crucial skills as teens approach adulthood.

Arroyo Volleyball Club

Head coach Robert Bethea founded Arroyo Volleyball Club as a way to grow the sport of volleyball and nurture young bump-set-spikers into confident and healthy individuals. The nonprofit organization deploys a professional cast of coaches—all certified through the Ontario Volleyball Association—to locations throughout Durham, where they conduct practices, summer camps, and tournaments and invite all players to participate regardless of their experience level or whether they have springs implanted in their fingertips.

To ensure each student receives personal attention, the club strives for a 6:1 player-to-coach ratio and never lets it exceed 12:1. Instructors encourage each athlete to improve physical fitness and partake in Arroyo's team-based learning dynamic, which instills the lifelong virtues of responsibility, discipline, and always joining spontaneous massage trains.

The Groupon Guide to: Having One Million Dollars

One million dollars is the largest amount of money any human can conceive of, much less accumulate over a lifetime. Here are the extravagant items you’re required to purchase once you achieve the only financial goal worth pursuing:

  • Portrait of yourself stroking a fluffy cat and/or skull
  • Carelessly amassed pile of boats
  • Rare Superman comic where he punches out Eisenhower
  • A roaring indoor fire
  • A man in white gloves who isn’t the butler, don’t hand him anything (wearing white gloves is the man’s entire job)
  • Ancient statue of a dead Greek hunk
  • Oh man, a pool table!

What extravagant item can no rich person live without?
