The group lessons are lessons with other people in class--it's not a private group. If you wanted to participate, you purchase this Groupon or pay the normal rate for just the group lesson.

Hey Tom! If your son does not have a partner, fear not, he will either be partnered up or working directly with the instructor! Also, both the group and party lesson will be a great way to try out those new skills and meet great new people!
