$299 for an Intro-Flight Package ($598 Value)

Aimed at anyone who believes they’d like to pursue a pilot’s license, the Discovery Flight includes a brief discussion on the ground before an introductory flight that lasts up to 40 minutes. Additionally, the six-week ground school course establishes a solid foundation by imparting aviation theory. Once the course is complete, students take their first flight lesson, putting what they have learned to use in the cockpit. Ground school takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Aspen Flying Club

Based at Centennial Airport, near the Denver Tech Center, the FAA-certified flight instructors at Aspen Flying Club aim to help aspiring pilots take to the skies, whether in pursuit of a hobby or career. Their diverse fleet of aircraft, which includes light sport aircraft and more than a dozen Cessna 172s, is designed to meet a wide range of needs and rental budgets. When weather conditions or specific training requirements merit, students and pilots alike can make use of the Redbird full-motion flight simulator, a realistic ground-based flight experience that allows for practice of takeoffs, landings, and other maneuvers.
