Questions and Answers

Agnes b has a point. I looked at the groupon and the website and she’s right. On the website it states:
UNLIMITED RIDES – PAY ONE PRICE ARMBAND
Monday- Thursday Fair opens at 5pm- 10pm
Saturday Afternoons from Open-6pm
๏Armband is $20.00 provides Unlimited Rides for one person on day of purchase from Open to 6pm.
๏Armband valid day of purchase only.
๏Armband valid for one person.
๏Armbands not sold after 5pm.
๏All Riders must be ticketed or have armband to ride.
๏Armband is not valid after 6pm.
๏Armband not valid if torn, altered or shared.
So, Mon-Thurs you get in at 5:00 and the armband is worthless at 6:00. You get one hour and they promote this as good for any weekday?
This is Groupon’s biggest rip-off yet.
It is also unclear if the armband can be used on Friday at all. It seems like it can only be used Monday – Thursday (since the Groupon is for weekday admission) from 5pm (when the fair opens) until 6pm (when the armbands expire.) This needs to be clarified immediately. I didn’t see any reference to using armbands on Friday at all.

GROUPON – WE HAVE QUESTIONS!!!
I’ve called and put in an email – we’ll see how long/if they respond to my request. I have the same questions as all y’all. Very confusing on their website. That’s a shame. GROUPON-clarify PLEASE!
Doesn’t look like its worth it – weekday – not possible. Cannot take a day off just to use this coupon. It should be good for weekend and for the whole day.
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your patience! The armband is valid from 5pm-10pm on Monday-Thursday. The 6pm restriction on the site is referring to Saturday’s (not included in this offer).
The armband is not available to the general public on Friday’s, but will be available to Groupon purchasers. I’ll let you know at what time it expires on a Friday after I confirm with the Atlanta Fair.
Thanks everyone!
Charles
Can we use the gate admisssion for one person and the armband for another person all going together. I understand that one person still needs to pay admission. Please clarify!

Vivian A – what? You want to use the gate admission for person A, and the armband for person B? Person B will still have to pay admission. The armband can’t move around (can’t remove it without cutting it) and is probably put on you as you enter.
I just want to know if I can use the gate admission for one person and the armband for someone else. Yes I know I still have to pay the extra admission I stated that in the previous comment. I am not questioning the armband use.
Hello Folks from the Atlanta Fair Staff:
Let me answer a few of your questions!
Victor G:
Each person will need to pay a gate admission so if you use the offer for a GATE Person A, Person B will still need to pay a gate admission separately. The Unlimited Armband may not be shared. Once you pass through the GATE you will go to the Midway Ride Ticket offices to receive your unlimited armband that can only be used by ONE person.
Abdul M:
Weekdays are a great day to enjoy the fair with your family. The Weekdays have fewer crowds and enable a family to navigate through the grounds with ease. Fewer lines, More rides, More Fun.
WendyM: I hope that you have had all your questions answered. The Fair staff strives to offer excellent customer service.
Others: We will clarify on the website today concerning the confusion with the 5pm/ 6pm.
Weekdays: Fair opens at 5pm and Armband is valid from 5pm-Close.
Saturdays (Which is not included in this offer) is a matinee special only valid from Noon-6pm.
Please keep in mind we stop selling the Unlimited Ride Armband ONE hour prior to closing the session, to insure everyone can receive a good value.
We appreciate your comments and say thank you for speaking out — it helps us understand our customer concerns.
How much is parking? And where do we park?
Becky G or Charles L or someone from Groupon – can you clarify one more area – can we use this groupon on Friday nights? It looks like the fair doesn’t sell armbands on Fridays but the groupon is still good for Friday night…is this true?

Hi Groupies,
Thanks for all the questions!
Yes, you can use the Groupon on Friday nights, Ram B.
Erin- there is parking available at outlying lots around the fair for a fee; specifically, close to Turner field.
There are also other options for transportation like the 49 bus. View them here http://atlantafair.com/Atlanta_Fair/Plan_a_Visit.html
Thanks!
Lauren O @ Groupon Staff
I just want to clarity if I can buy two of the groupons and give one to my 9 year old son?
Thanks

Can multiples be purchased?
PLEASE DO NOT FEATURE THEM EVER AGAIN.
This was by far the most disgusting place I have ever experienced, and I feel completely ripped off by Groupon for even purchasing this. I should have known not to even step into the area when I drove past it, but against my better judgement, I gave it a shot with 3 other friends. I ended up warning the other two friends that were on their way to not come.
First of all, I didn’t realize it was in a seedy area of town. The address is not even correct on the Groupon. There were three homeless men around the gated area of the fair. I had to pay $5 for parking at a very unsecure parking lot, and I’m not even sure if the “parking lot attendant” was an actual attendant. Inside, several of the already few rides available had no attendant.
As you walk past the game area where you pay extra to play the games, the hosts baited and taunted my boyfriend for not paying $3~$4 to play a stupid dart game that neither of us were interested in. That’s not even the worst part. We happened to walk by one particular game host who muttered “CHING CHONG CHING CHONG” and other racial slurs under his breath just because we shook our heads to say “No, we’re not interested.” I turned back and said, “What the fuck did you say to me?” and he turned away and pretended like he was busy with something else. It did not escalate beyond that.
This is completely unacceptable, especially in this day and age, and I am completely mortified to have even recommended to my friends to purchase this Groupon.
When asking around for who was in charge of management, no one seemed to know or care. I was even smirked at for wanting to complain.
This fair is a RIP OFF. Please feature the Coweta County Fair or the Gwinnett County Fair when the time comes. Those are REAL fair/carnival experiences.
This fair was crap, half the rides where broken down and the ones open where ducked taped together and falling apart. i refused to put my self or my wife on any of those rides, complete rip off. It was very unclean and unsafe, i noticed several healt violations when it comes to food prep, cooks with no gloves, hair nets and using the same thongs for all food items.
Groupon should refund everyone back for this junk.
Worst purchase ever!
Next time do one for Six flags or a better established fair
Well I tried to go to this fair last night and the fair was closed, there was no one there and the place looked like a run-down out of business fair that had been sitting there since the early 80’s, I was so angry I called groupon on the spot but it was after hours so as soon as I got home I emailed groupon asking for a refund or a groupon credit and as of this moment I still have not heard form them. I love groupon and really hope they do the right thing, I would really hate for there reputation to be tainted over this 1 event. PLEASE GROUPON DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!!

The fair website says the arm band isn’t valid after 6PM and the fair opens at 5 on M-Th. So, unless you can go on a friday (the only time when the groupon is valid AND the fair is opens before 5)…the groupon arm band will only work for an hour, then you’ll have to pay. In my opinion, this groupon is not worth $12…
