Is there a limit to how many you can purchase?

Jacob R.

I’m confussed, is the deal for a $70 ticket, or a $126 ticket. Looking at the seating chart, it may really matter on where the tickets are located.

Good Morning!
Teresa, no limit to how many each individual can buy but there is a sell out level on this offer!

Jacob,
These will be great seats I assure you! They have a $126 value and they will be mezzanine or better.

Enjoy!

Hi Rebecca,

This doesn’t answer Jacob’s question or mine. On the ALO website, there are THREE different price points for Mezzanine seating valued at $70, $90, and $126 respectively. How do we know that we’ll be in the $126 seats? Can you clarify further?

Thanks,
Kristina

Hi Krisitna-
My name is Catherine and I am the box office manager here at ALO. Just wanted to assure you that every seat in this house is spectacular! We are assigning the BEST available seats to our Groupon folks!

Sandra L.

This is a wonderful offer, and I hope you will return to it often. Thanks !!

Cheryl N.

Hmm, I was disappointed to learn that we can’t redeem our Groupons until tomorrow, when many of the better seats will be taken. After purchase I see, “This Groupon won’t be usable until tomorrow. Austin Lyric Opera is too busy today handling the phones in response to their promotion!
You can go ahead and print now, just don’t try to use it, because it won’t work!”

I guess there is another deal to which they are referring? Did I miss the wording where we were alerted to the delay in activation in the pre-purchase explanation?

Constance P.

So, will those who purchase their Groupons first be given the best seats in order of when they purchased the Groupons? Or will they determine who gets the best of the mezzanine seating deals in some other way?

Evan S.

I could be wrong but I don’t think you all have a thing to worry about. I purchased a ticket to The Prince a few months ago and I didn’t get my ticket until that night at the box office and the seat was fantastic! Right up front. Only thing is don’t be late! I had never been there before so I got lost finding the right door and one of the people who worked there was very rude to me for not being seated on time!

Cheryl~
All seats will be assigned at the same time at the close of this feature! Worry not! The Opera has to have the final number and names before they can begin to assign seats in order to make sure groups will be together, etc. Some folks may even be upgraded!

Constance, I hope this answers your question as well?

Thank you and enjoy!

Thanks for your response Rebecca. I’m a little confused at the term “upgraded” since the Groupon says that we are eligible for a $126 ticket, which is the highest ticket price. Which level of seats are we eligible for? When I do a search on the online box office I see that there are still seats available in Orchestra Prime. Are Groupon members eligible for those for example?

Cheryl-
By upgrade, Rebecca may have been referring to a seat on the floor as opposed to a seat in the mezzanine. There are 126.00 priced seats in both. Again, I just want to reiterate every seat in this house is AWESOME!

Cheryl~
The Opera has a block of seats set aside for this offer to ensure they can provide the best seats possible to everyone who purchases today’s deal. I simply meant to indicate that they would sooner put people in better seats if necessary, but not lesser valued seats! They are committed to making sure you LOVE this experience! As indicated…seats will be mezzanine or better!

Evan~ You are so right! Don’t be late! :) I have gotten the wag of the finger myself for taking too long during intermission!

Enjoy,

So do we just show up with the printed coupon the day of the opera, or should we call early? Is there any way of knowing ahead of time where we’ll be seated? (it’s quite alright if not; I like surprises!)

I would also like to know.

Kristina W.

I called the opera directly (with the phone number listed on the Groupon). She picked out my tickets while we were on the phone and sent them to me in the mail. I’d call ASAP as you’ll have less choice the longer you wait.
