When it comes to winemaking, grapes are chosen for their unique characteristics: muscats add sweetness, zinfandels conjure spice, and merlots turn wines into low-grade invincibility potions. Learn more wine facts with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $20 for a wine tasting with take-home wine glasses for two, and a choice of one chocolate heart or three chocolate truffles (a $40 value)
  • $39 for a wine tasting with take-home wine glasses for four, and a choice of two chocolate hearts or six chocolate truffles (an $80 value)

An expert discusses each bottle of white, red, and dessert wine, and offers tips for pairing them with specific foods, for cooking with wines, and for holiday entertaining. Before departing, each guest receives a take-home wine glass and each pair chooses either a solid-chocolate heart or three chocolate truffles.

Balic of Clinton

When Joan Schaming and Ronald Williams opened Balic of Clinton in 2004, they wanted to make sure their clientele understood the importance of sampling wines before they commit to a bottle. In their shop, they hold daily tastings of their rotating selection of reds, whites, dessert wines, and specialty potables, which they recommend to pair with selections from their inventory of gourmet foods and chocolates.

The Groupon Guide to: Spicing Up a Monologue

Monologues are the most boring part of plays since they only involve a single performer and that single performer is never an adorable baby actor. To make these seemingly unending passages more interesting, follow these helpful tips:

  • Do something interesting with your voice. You could give your character an accent or, if you can't do a convincing accent, just yell the entire time.

  • Cut out all the unnecessary words, such as articles and any full sentences that don't foreshadow how the main character is a group of children hiding inside a man's suit.

  • Wear a funky hat or rad loafers. That'll give the audience something to look at!

  • Perform it with multiple people and tell the director you're going to start calling it a fun-o-logue.

  • Start at the end of the monologue and work backward. Then when you finish, tell the audience that they just got Pranked'd™. (If you're interested in buying the rights to use the name Pranked'd™, probably for a hilarious hidden-camera goof show, please contact Groupon for more information.)

Why is there so much yelling in plays? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
