$55 for Four Ballroom Dance Workshops and Three Drop-In Classes ($125 Value)

Suitable for beginners, drop-in lessons (a $15 value each) occur every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. (the studio is closed during the month of August). Students will spend 45 minutes learning new ballroom and Latin moves and 45 minutes practicing them with their fellow dancers. Workshop sessions (an $80 value) are held on four consecutive Wednesdays from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. Registration in the workshops is complete once you've purchased the Groupon for your chosen session.

Ballroom Dance of NJ

Students arrive at the Watchung Arts Center seeking to learn the elegant art of social dancing, a tradition carried on by Russian natives Sergei and Olga Bezrodnov amidst the Watchung's art exhibitions. The husband-and-wife team has taken home numerous Russian and U.S. championships, and the two are committed to sharing their passion for dance with the community.

Having experienced how ballroom dancing can promote both physical and mental well-being, the Bezrodnovs teach adults, children, and entire families how to gracefully navigate the dance floor. They coordinate events where couples can demonstrate their skills in styles such as the fox trot, waltz, tango, cha-cha, and swing, preparing soon-to-be-wedded couples for their big day and singles to pass the time in malfunctioning elevators.
