The website is under construction. I will NEVER understand why a business would go to the trouble of setting up a Groupon deal and not have their website working and complete. This is not the first time this has happened with other Groupon deals. The other day one website had a menu, but no prices on any of the items. Other days the websites just didn’t work at all. One time the website was so screwed up it caused my computer to crash and I had to take it in for repair. Preposterous. Groupon ought to insist that the business has its website fully functional before they allow a business to offer a deal. Just plain basic good business practice, it seems to me.

the food there is so good! Wish they’d bring back the fried mushrooms though ;)

To the comment about the website under construction, I was able to go in to the website and view the menu and everything. Maybe you should try again.

“Limit 1 per table, 2 per table of 5 or more.”—should we ask for two separate tables in order to be able to use two groupons for family of four?

Ray S.

Sucks they won’t let you use the groupon on their daily lunch or dinner specials. That’s usually the best food.

Joel H.

Hi Kreg,

You should just get 1 table and use 1 Groupon for a family of 4. Good question! Thanks!

Ray, wanna know what doesn’t suck? $12 for $25 of anything else that you desire at Bar-B-Que Beach!

Cheers y’all.

Can you use one coupon at the bar and another for food at a table?

Diana

I’m from Vancouver, Canada and am making the trek down to Miami in September. Can anyone tell me… is their food really that good???

Joel H.

Hi Amanda, great question. I encourage you to use 1 for either/or so as to keep everything easy, but if you sit at the bar with friends, you can absolutely use a Groupon.

Bienvenidos a Miami, Diana!

Cheers,

Joel

I live in Toronto, but I’ll be staying in Miami Beach for 2 weeks (starting next week). Will I be able to use this Groupon, or do I have to be a US resident?

Joel H.

Welcome all the way from the T.O, Kerzia! Toronto is awesome!

You are absolutely welcome to use your Groupon in Miami, resident of the States or not :)

Enjoy, and feel free to bring me some Crunchie Bars!

Joel

Hi! What are the lunch specials and other offers that are not included? I could not find on the menu.

Thanks :)

Janet C.

As someone suggested, I tried the website again. It still says it is under construction. see below copied exactly from the website:

Returning Soon!
This website is under construction and is changing daily.
We appreciate your patience.

I still think it is bad business on the part of both the restaurant and Groupon to put up a deal with a less than fully functional website.

Also Joel, your responses are not cute—they crossed the line and are rude to the people who wrote in with legitimate questions.

What is happening to Groupon? Is it getting so big that it is getting out of control? Who is in charge?

To those who can’t see the menu.. this is what I realized: It does NOT work on Firefox. I then copied the link and used the Internet Explorer browser, and tadaaa! It works :) ’Hope this helps.

And oh, thanks for your reply, Joel _ I’m glad Toronto residents are welcome.

Joel H.

Good evening everyone!

Gina, answers are on the way shortly!

Kerzia, you are absolutely welcome! I hope you enjoy your trip and your stay in the Magic City!

Janet, thanks for your feedback. I stand behind everything I’ve said and I wish you a good night, and good luck.

Thanks everyone!

@Kerzia
That’s curious that you are having trouble viewing the website in Foxfire. That is the same browser that I used to build the site. I’ll have to look into this.

@Janet C Hi Janet,
(1) Thank you so much for keeping me on my toes.
(2) We are updating the website this evening to include more information for our Groupon customers and answering questions both here and on the blog. If you have any more questions please ask!
(3) I apologize if our sense of humor came off the wrong way. We like to be silly and have a good time at the restaurant. One reason we partnered with Groupon is because their sense of humor is quite similar to ours. Thank you for reminding me that not all customers appreciate this. I will keep it in mind.
You have a good evening now and please come see me at the restaurant. Ask for Tami!

@Gina F Hi Gina,
Thanks for asking. I am listing the daily specials on the blog. Let me know if you still have any questions.

Is it ok for me to link to the blog post answering questions about the Groupon? I can’t remember the protocol for Comments…

Ok just went there last night with my husband, we were at the one on Washington Street in Miami Beach, not sure if there are more and just have to say that is was BAD!! Ok guys not sure where you are getting your Bar-B-Que but there is a hell of allot better place in Miami than this. I will say that the staff was wonderful. Very kind and polite and willing to help which was the only saving grace to the meal. Corn way over done, Mac ’n Cheese been sitting in the pot all day, Bake Beans not sure what was in it. Ribs soooooooooo dry there was nothing falling off the bones. They over cooked the T-bone special (which was not a t-bone) and we could go on but lets end this………….
Eat at your own risk just know this is not the best Miami has to offer.

Absolutely delightful! Arrived late in the evening & found staff very nice & accomodating! Food was delicious! Bff & I had full rack of traditional baby backs w/cole slaw & salad as two side dishes. The ribs were cooked nicely & so very tender in their delicious sauce. cole slaw was perfect & a nice generous house salad w/dressings on the side. 2 beverages in a GIANT jug complimented the order. Our server was Kevin, very nice, attentive & adorable! Atmosphere is tropical, casual & sports bar meets fun times. I thought the food was fabulous, generous portions & nice musical atmosphere..service fantastic & price (w/groupon) a super deal! My bff agrees & loved the sweetened ice tea. a nice touch of southern barbeque on sobe!!! Enjoy! highly recommend!!!
