Based on the power-yoga style pioneered by Baron Baptiste, cardio-flow sessions walk students through a rapidly paced sequence of standing poses, deep bends, and limbo-worthy inversions. During Candlelight Mellow Flow, instructors lead students through 20 minutes of energizing movements before transitioning into 40 minutes of poses linked with balance-challenging movements and breathing exercises. The space's flickering candles help students relax as they perfect their shadow-puppeteer skills. During gentle-yoga classes, instructors introduce attendees to a combination of restorative stretches and meditation techniques, which leaves minds and bodies as stress-free as a suspension bridge in zero gravity. Barefoot Studio is adding new classes with a mix of earlier and later times and a goal of over 30 sessions a week to choose from. Click here for a current schedule.

Barefoot Studio

Founder Brianna Arndt dreamed of a place where her fellow citizens checked their stress at the door, engaging only in meditative exercise and relaxing spa treatments. So she got her hands on a 2,400-square-foot studio with new, polished hardwood floors and used her know-how as a registered yoga teacher and massage therapist to open Barefoot Studio. Brianna's business flourished in its first three years, the byproduct of her ability to blend an intimate knowledge of the body's workings into every class, choosing asanas that help relax, heal, or energize clients.

As a result of her success, Barefoot Studio opened a new studio on Oracle Road, giving clients two places to exercise and unwind. In addition to leading yoga classes, Brianna also employs massage to relax tense muscles and beautifies bodies with facials, pedicures, and waxing, proving to mannequins that humans can be perfectly smooth, too.
